A San Diego institution. No frills. They only do beef pho. Order a 16 or 17, plus sate and bread. I love the lemonade although technically it’s limeade. Parking is horrible but it’s the best pho in San Diego (I’ve seen an owner of another popular pho place eating here! So you know it’s legit!).

Mexican grocery store, fairly close by. Cheap. Walking distance but it’ll be a long haul if you buy a lot of groceries. The best flour tortillas. Buy them when they are being made fresh, near the produce section you will see the magic happen. Get the salsa ranchera (usually pretty spicy), it’s so good! Very close to our place, short walk. Inside of here is a place called Sahara. Great gyros!! I’m guessing all the food is good. The market itself is pricey but has a few basics and awesome selection of beer/ wine/ and non alcoholic drinks. Some food items and even a bit of produce usually.

Not far from the airport. Can get very busy but the line moves fairly fast. The food is great. Get a seat outside and enjoy the view (but beware the seagulls).

Great spot to sit outside with a beer and a crab sandwich. Seriously get the crab sandwich. I add lettuce and tomato although it’s fantastic just as is. It’ll cost you around $20 and it’s worth every penny. The fries are good too

Go see the seals! They are so fun to watch and it’s FREE. There’s also a cave walkway via a gift shop on the cliffs that’s cool to check out. I think it’s around $10. It’s a lot of steps/ can be slippery.
