The Donkey Sanctuary is a great place to spend a couple of hours. Entrance is free but there is the chance to make donations. There is a good cafe/restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and cream teas. Obviously there are plenty of donkeys to see as well as various talks throughout the day.

A vast sandy beach, so great for walking. There is also a harbour that offers boat trips, fishing tours, boat hire etc. Again, plenty of places to eat and drink in the town

A lovely day out and the chance to see some wolves, wild boar and artic fox. The park grounds next to Wildwood also offer you the chance to take a lovely walk and then head back to the cafe for a coffee afterwards.

Take a relaxing journey on the electric tramway, which runs on the old route between Seaton and Seaton Junction, through Colyton. Beautiful views across the wetlands and the estuary. I think the new Wetlands tram stop has just opened as well. Meaning you can hop off and explore the bird hides on your journey.

Lyme Regis is another lovely seaside town to visit, especially if you are an avid fossil hunter! Plenty of good fish and chips or if you want to go more upmarket then there is the Oyster and Fish House by Mark Hix
