Easy walk from the house. Thrillist chose EVO Pizzeria’s Mushroom & Sweet Onion pie as one of the "33 Best Pizzas in America," and now, the website has tabbed the North Charleston restaurant as one of the Best Pizza Shops in the country.
Thrillist said EVO "focuses on simplicity and quality, and its crisp, yet tender-in-the-middle crusts and bounty of local ingredients land the Charleston spot" on the list. The website recommends trying a pesto-laden pie, saying the restaurant has "mastered the classic sauce." Personally I recommend the Pork Trifecta!

Chef Mike Lata of FIG fame, opened this seafood restaurant downtown in an old bank building. It's loud and vibrant and has the best seafood in town. It gets very crowded so go early to sit at the bar, have a daiquiri and a dozen oysters, or be sure to have a reservation!

On the northern edge of downtown, this oyster shop is great for frozen gin and tonics, the siam salad, and oysters, oysters, oysters. Funky outdoor space and a laid back atmosphere. Save room for soft serve ice cream with sprinkles~

This house has an excellent audio tour and is a wonderful example of conservation rather than restoration. Hauntingly beautiful.
