Parks & Nature

Fantastic recently enlarged white sand and shell beach. Calm and safe for swimming with plenty of seating, toilet facilities on beach and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Lifeguards June to October. Short walk up hill to Las Rotundas shopping Mall and level walk on the Esplanade alongside the water between El Charco and Playa Blanco, the wilder surf beach.

Camel rides! Really good day trip for 'interactive experiences with wildlife', botanical garden with awesome cactii and succulents and plenty of places for rests and refreshments.

You do need a car for this trip and the roads are quite twisty but the views from here are worth it! Free entry with very informative displays about the island plus our favourite coffee shop here. The prices will be a pleasant surprise too!

An imposing courtyard mansion with displays to illustrate the history of the island and the building as the seat of power of the Coroneles who ruled Fuerteventura from the 18th century. Stunning views from the roof terrace, cute ground squirrels and Contemporary art gallery over the road.
