This is the place to hit if you want to brunch then beach. A short walk from the suite, The Village is known for their inventive use of latkes (think latke eggs benedict). Come early, as this neighbourhood brunch spot fills up quickly.

The Oak Bay Marina has something for everyone. Resident seals are there to entertain visitors with their clapping and spinning (be warned, they really only like the fish you can buy at the marina). There's a coffee shop with a beautiful patio overlooking the water, serving lunch or snack items, as well as ice cream. They also have a gorgeous restaurant where you can take in stunning views of the bay, and all of the boating activity.

Willows Beach is the iconic family beach in Victoria. This mile long sandy beach also has a playground and large grassy area perfect for lounging, picnics or even barbecues. If you don't want to bring your own food, there is a concession open all summer, with burgers, fries, etc and offering breakfast on the weekends.

Red Barn is a little pricey for general groceries, but they have a great selection of island raised meats, delicious sandwiches made to order, great local produce, and our two faves: ice cream by the scoop, and a wide and varied selection of kombucha.

This is the most reasonable place in the neighbourhood to get your groceries. They also have a deli with some ready-made dinner options, and they're open by 7 AM, if you need milk for your morning caffeine. Lots of selection.
