I don't usually recommend chain-type places, but this is a great location, good prices, indoor and outdoor seating, and usually offers 20% discount for Cal Poly id card holders on Monday. Lots of beers, good happy hour choices. Overall fun place to watch sports on their many tvs, or seat away from the bar with a group of friends.

SLO's famous in-town peak. Rises to about 1,500 feet and offers great views of town. It's 1.9 miles each way. The lower third is shaded, the rest is usually not, so take water. Climbing routes along the lower portion.

Part hike, part architecture playground. Don't call it a graveyard if you're talking to Architecture faculty. The walk about Poly Canyon road is mostly flat and largely. There's sometimes a creek to the side. You can cut right and over a bridge if you want to hike the P, or continue and take a left past the wooded map of the 'graveyard' and out to the structures.
