Gourmet Diem is a locally owned cafe, specialty food and kitchenwares store located in the heart of downtown. They have a great selection of coffees, lattes, frappe, tea, smoothies and light lunches - Sonja's soups are 'to die for'... and the grilled sandwiches are a meal-&-a-half!
They also have a great selection of domestic and imported cheeses and locally sourced deli meats.

While our Rivendell Suite does not (as yet) have a washer/dryer, fear not... there is a full-service laundromat & dry-cleaner right around the corner! Friendly staff and lots of machines of all sizes. They will even do your laundry for you if you wish.

There are so many parks and nature trails in our area, but this is the first one that comes to mind...
Quinte Conservation owns 23 public conservation areas, open daily from dawn until dusk. The closest one to us is their headquarters - the Potter's Creek Conservation Area - a 15 minute drive west along Dundas St.
Their all-season accessible trails take you through fragrant orchards, open meadows and scenic woodlands for hiking, snowshoeing and skiing as well as viewing wildlife, butterfly gardens, bird-feeding stations, natural shorelines and turtle-breeding ponds. Overlooking the scenic Bay of Quinte, their park provides an amazing start for canoeists, kayakers and windsurfers.
