The Dino Park is a FREE Attraction! with over 50 prehistoric creatures. Quote from the website: "there are information plaques near each prehistoric creature detailing when and where they were found along with interesting facts. There are a couple "dark" exhibits that may be thrilling for the really young kids, some are good with it a few are don't like the movement of the dinos and darkness. We have a fossil dig site with rubber mulch that the kids can dig through in stations, with signs helping to I.D. each discovery. We also have a playground area with slides as well that is very popular. http://backyardterrors.com/about-dinosaur-park/

From the "About Us" portion of the website: Archaeological evidence released in February of 2006 revealed that the caverns were used by Early Woodland Native Americans over 1300 years ago. The archeologists found burnt firewood located in a fire pit that has been radiocarbon dated to 675 A.D. They also found pottery, arrowheads, and other evidence of habitation. The log cabin located on the property was discovered to have been built in 1777. Historical documents located in the Sullivan County Archives indicate the caverns and cabin were used as a stopover point and shelter during the harsh winter months as they were making their way westward. http://www.appacaverns.com
