Dragon Rock Reptile Centre is situated in the heart of the beautiful Drakensberg in Kwazulu Natal. We are a nature and reptile centre. We believe education is the most powerful weapon with which we can change the world around us. That is why we strive to educate people about the animals we have and animals in general. Combining the nature centre with our reptile centre we aim to send people home more aware of their environment.

Whether you’re an avid birder, or you’re simply looking for something to do, the Bird of Prey Show at Falcon Ridge, will become a highlight of your stay.
Falcon Ridge rehabilitates large birds from injury, and provides an excellent opportunity to see these magnificent sky warriors in action. Daily shows (starting at 10:30 – except Fridays and of course, weather permitting) include interesting and informative introductions of each bird during the incredible performance. Hosts, Greg and Alison, will treat you to an informative action packed display as these magnificent birds are released and then called to return.
Sun block and a covering for your head (hat or umbrella) is advised. There is a small refreshment stand at the show, where water and cooldrinks can be purchased.

The KwaZulu Weavers factory was established some 15 years ago, bringing together generations of experience in weaving. KwaZulu Weavers rugs are woven by master weavers who have through generations handed down the fine art of African weaving and ethnic design. Each step is carefully monitored to ensure the rugs conform to the highest international standard. All rugs are hand woven, using the finest wools available.
What makes the company unique is its process of manufacturing. The weavers receive raw wool in bale form, complete the washing process, mothproof the rugs and handle the various processes of colouring and carding of the wool.
The fibres are then spun for further processing before they are made into your own selected personal rug. Before dispatching, the rug enters the finishing department for completion and quality control.
Producing a KwaZulu Weavers rug is a long and rewarding process, as each fibre is joined, worked and finally spun into threads. This is then hand-woven into a magnificent masterpiece. The designs and colours make the rugs unique.
