This well known but hard-to-find local favorite is the best quality for the best price. It's on the backside of one of our staple Italian restaurant's called Mazzi's. Everything is amazing and it's not just pastries. Breakfast tacos are a favorite. They have vegan options for the baked goods too. Families do like to congregate here so go early if you want quiet, otherwise, bring the kiddos and stake out a table next to the sandbox and let the kiddos play while you grub. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which has space heaters. If it's cold out, the best spot is the fireplace just inside the seated area.

Always voted Best Hangover Breakfast in Town by the Eugene Weekly. This is the place for a pile of greasy food with almost never a wait because there is a TON of seating. You can get some hair of the dog if need be, although it's never fancy. But you know what they say, "The best detox is retox." They own the neighboring coffee shop so you can roll with an espresso instead of/in addition to your hair of the dog.

Get your wallet out and get your pinkies out! We're getting fancy!! This place started out as a tiny airstream trailer in the parking lot of a feed store. They have since exploded into a much bigger space...into which they fit the trailer so you can still dine in there if you like! Fancy breakfast/brunch cocktails are off the charts but so are the pots of awesomely strong espresso. The portion sizes aren't huge but this is food as art. Definitely have the macaroons and order everything to share so everyone can taste everything. It gets pricey but it's worth every penny!

Known for a menu full of variations on eggs benedict, this is a great spot near campus that's family friendly and has good quality food. The old movie posters on the walls are great conversation starters to pass the time waiting for your food while you sip the strong coffee. It gets busy and parking is scarce so if you don't go early, you might have to walk a few blocks and wait a few minutes.

This gem is under-appreciated! I see lines out the door at Studio One next door all the time and I just step in and sit down at Agate Alley to a better meal right away (unless you're an eggs benedict fan). Their food is delicious, they have talented bar tenders and there's always something interesting on the menu. You have your basics too. If you're there on a Sunday they have a build-you-own bloody mary bar with every kind of garnish you could want including bacon. Bacon in my drink. Bacon on my plate. Smile on my face!

Best bacon in town. Thick and salty and you can order it crispy or regular. They also serve giant mimosas and something called a Contrary Mary, which is a tasty bloody mary with their house-made mix and a good compliment or garnishes. The rest of the food is solid - all day and all night - and the staff have literally become our friends. It's nestled in the Friendly neighborhood (that's where you are, no joke!) and there's great outdoor seating in the front and back for the sunny days. Dog are welcome out front and they will bring them water and lots of love.

Time to get your veg on! This is the place for vegetarians and vegans to get delicious, well sourced food. They can do things with tofu I never thought possible.

If your carnivore friends won't stop judging your vegan life choices, stick one of the Cornbread Cafe's sandwiches in their mouth and they will happily shut up. (; xoxo All vegan all the time and they know how to do it right. And not just for breakfast!
