Tucked between Williamstown Beach on Port Phillip Bay and the Hobsons Bay / Yarra River mouth, this beautiful suburb is surrounded by water and contians lots of parks and open spaces, including the Williamstown Botanical Gardens. Flat for easy walking, a safe beach for swimming and snorkelling and with the nearby Williamstown Beach train station you can be in the Melbourne CBD in 25 minutes. There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants and a compact, welcoming high street shopping centre with bakeries, butcher, fruit store, health food store, supermarket, pharmacies, fashion and homewares shops.
