Great to look around or pay to get in. In the cript there are the remains of the Roman Fort and the Minster Treasury. You May be able to climb the minster for an additional fee. Nice Green Space at the back for a picnic or just to relax. Good Place to start as near to many of the sites.

A lot of important artifacts from across yorkshire are based here. Also a natural history exhibit. A nice park also with the remains of the Roman Wall and monestry. Often there are events in the park and birds of prey can be seen for free. There is an observatory in the park with very limited opening times!
