Rincon is a bustling little surf town. After a day of waves or snorkeling or beaching it enjoy dinner in one of the many fabulous restaurants offering everything from local cuisine to Thai to Italian. On Thursday evenings you don’t want to miss art walk on the plaza, where you will find loads of artisans and lots of live music at the surrounding bars. Head back to the plaza on Sundays for the farmers market where you’ll score naturally grown local fruits and veggies plus a varied of food options and don’t leave without some locally made face creams and hot sauces. But Friday and Saturdays you want to stay close by Those nights the action is at casa verde and tamboo, both walkable from Samatahiti. Bonus start out a little earlier for world class sushi at pool bar. Where you will enjoy an old Rincón vibe. Eat outside, jump in the pool and watch surf movies on the giant screen. Speaking of food casa verde has great burgers, even their veggie burger is insanely delicious. And right Across the street is the island restaurant open for breakfast lunch and dinner if you’re looking for quick grab a smoothie or coffee at jakes java or a nyc bagel at the wandering bagel! Rouge wave is your one stop shop for cold medallas and other beach essentials plus great gifts. And beachfront is tamboo for lunch and dinners and you know, late night mayhem. The mango shop is another gift shop at sandy beach and catch some world class waves at parking lots right in front of casa islena, where you can grab a post surf breakfast or lunch. All of these are a 15 minute or less walk from Samatahiti. But coming back is uphill so make sure you have a medalla for that walk 😉. Walking towards 413 (bonus...flat) you are going to hit surfers spot and some of the best cheesecake and peanut butter pie you’ve ever eaten. All homemade and vacation calories don’t count, so don’t pass this up. Dinner options at this casual counter spot include coconut fish nuggets, crab cakes, fish sandwiches and more. Next store is mia familia brick oven pizzeria and bar and across from them is the very old school Blakies where the beer is cold and cheap. A skip away and you’re at playa bowls offering acai and smoothies, next door and below lazy parrot is que vive you can get brick oven pizza and more here as well as great cocktails. On the cheap hit the puntas bakery for real (read strong ) Puerto Rican coffee, pastries, breakfast, sandwiches and lunch options (get there for lunch early they sell out quickly). You can also grab essentials and snacks to keep at the tiki bar. Because most of our guest are surfers are heading to the beach we offer to go lunches. All options are vegetarian and come in a small insulated lunch bag and are ready to go at 7am! We also have surf wax, gorgeous beach towels, great looking surf socks and silky face soaps. All from local artisans so if you forgot any of these or just want to treat yourself let us know! And you can join us daily for yoga for surfers skaters and all other shiny happy people on the tree top yoga deck each morning at 8am. Or for our weekly evening yin class. Surf lessons go out at 7:30 in the morning. You need to preregister the evening before for surf lessons and take away lunches. Often surf lessons can be arranged for the afternoon as well
