El Manglar is a very short walk, either off the beach (cross the little bridge), or by entry through the campground. (Go through the campground) Its got a great atmosphere, the iguanas and crocodiles, big birds and turtles are the stars of the show, as El Manglar is right on the natural lagoon and is full of wildlife. My favourite dish for lunch is the tiritas. But most on their menu is pretty good! If you're craving fries, they've got good ones too. Reasonable prices, attentive service, highly recommended. CLOSED WEDNESDAYS

Jungle Pizza makes great pizzas in their wood-fired pizza oven. Off the Playa La Ropa road toward town. Check out their menu online. PLUS they DELIVER! They are close by so the cheese is still hot when the pizza arrives.

Some of the restaurants along the beach we recommend are Rossi's (check out their upstairs to escape the fray) Arena has good chilaquiles for breakfast. La Perla has a decent menu. Paty's is at the other end and has great breakfast, and sitting area on the beach is lovely, all the way into the dinner hour
