I think this bakery just has bread completely nailed down. I like their plain ensemadas, their pork sliders, their mocha cake slices, and their sansrival cake. Also try ube (yam) flavored baked goods!

Great El Pastor tacos with a slice of pineapple! Inexpensive. I think I ordered 10 tacos for less than $10.

They have the best tsukemen (noodles dipped in pork broth) in the US according to some food magazines. :] It is delicious: comforting and savory. Get the ajitama tsukemen! Tsujita boils its eggs well!

Even though the words "tar pit" are in the name, this is really a nice park with a lovely lawn. It's big, so you see other groups wandering around as well. Plus it's right by the LA County Museum which is great to explore as well!

There is a science museum at the observatory, but this whole area has lots of hikes, including the hike to the observatory and three hiking routes to the Hollywood sign! The view from the top is great and at night, the city lights are beautiful! It's very romantic at night, too. :]
