This placed just opened and is wonderful! It used to be the D&R Auto Shop. They still sell gas, but inside is a great restaurant and bar. With a chef from Mexico, the food is authentic and delicious! We recommend the ceviche, fondido and tacos. There's also a convenience store attached.

Our new favorite place to eat. It’s a beautiful drive to get there and 10 minutes from Callicoon, one of the cutest towns in Sullivan County (interesting shops and movie theater).

Roebling Bridge runs over the Delaware and is on Hwy 97, a mile and a half from the house. Built by John A. Roebling who designed the Brooklyn Bridge, it is a fascinating and beautiful thing to see. It is the oldest existing wire suspension bridge in the U.S. (1849).

Some of the best hiking in Sullivan County, only 24 miles from the house. Make sure you pick the right parking spot, it's a large area. We reccomend the Blue Trail East to Mullet Loop Trail.
