A genuine step back in time. Great to visit anytime, but they do have fantastic events. Be sure to check out the bison & elk at nearby Lake Jacomo Fleming Park. The lake does also offer fishing.

The Courthouse Exchange Saloon of 1899 is now a local dining favorite, especially for lunch. Burgers, fries & beer top the menu. Restaurant is below ground and still retains original stone walls. The long saloon style bar definitely gives it a timeless feel. First booth to the right has a hole in the stone where you can sometimes find notes left for President Harry Truman. Not open on Sundays & Mondays.

Museum offers contents of the Arabia Steamboat which sank in 1856. Though many boats sank, none have as of yet had all their contents so perfectly preserved as the Arabia. The artifacts are amazing, the story of finding and removing the boat is beyond incredible.

Food scene

Excellent food! Inside is beautiful. (make sure to check out the store on the 2nd floor) Outside is an experience all of its own. The landscaping and décor is worthy of its own admission. Be sure to make reservations if planning to eat outside or in the evening.
