Hiking & nature
Fern Canyon is a beautiful tourist destination which I highly recommend giving a visit. It is made up of two massive walls that run along side a little river, leading to the beach. If you visit this incredible place you can walk through the canyon in some good gear and take in the breathtaking views. The hike is pretty flat and moderate, I would recommend some water proof shoes, and maybe a little lunch, walking deeper into the canyon does require a bit of log hoping & river crossing. This spot is a bit of commute, do be sure to go prepared!

Redwood National park is a must-see when visiting Humboldt County, & is literally located in the backyard of our Bungalow! These trails weave up through the iconic Redwood Forest, paths range from 0.5-9 miles or so. These beautiful trails are great for hiking, mountain baking, jogging, you name it. Be sure to set aside some time to immerse yourself in the Redwoods, you won't regret it.

Cafe Phoenix is a lovely cafe located only a few blocks from the Bungalow. This restaurant has a healthy and delicious menu, an awesome staff, a beautiful outdoor dining area that sits next to a garden. I highly recommend giving their goodies a try to fuel you through the morning, they're generally open Tuesday-Saturday 9-3.

This charming little neighborhood is located down by the harbor in North Eureka. Take a stroll & enjoy cafes, boutiques, historical land marks, and you're just a block away from a lovely Bayfront walk. Also, lots of amazing restaurants!

This eccentric little square is full of cute shops, cafes, seasonal family friendly festivities and events, and an adorable Farmers Market that takes place every Saturday morning, be sure to give the plaza a visit or two during your stay.
