Sightseeing
This is a scenic overlook that shows the entire valley, unspoiled by human development. They have a distillery, brewery/restaurant, observation deck, gift shop, and museum. This is also the place to go if you need crystal clear cell phone reception. It's about 15 min from my place and is easy to find because it's right on the highway. Can't miss it.

Jasper Decor is a super cute, quaint and unassuming store in downtown Wilmington next to the Wilmington Pub. The owner has a keen eye for finding vintage and antique home decor and mixing in some gorgeous jewelry and scarves. She is the source for the curios in my place.

Mt Snow Ski Resort is about a 30 minute drive. My place is on Scenic Route 100, which is well plowed and will take you directly to the resort.

This is the pristine lake across the street from my place. Swimming and fishing are allowed, so is boating and motor boating. There is a nice swim area that the locals use, which is directly in front of my next door neighbor's house (it's just a path that starts right after the metal guard rail ends). The water is clean, and unless it's a holiday you will probably have the entire lake to yourself.

Harriman Reservoir
This is the pristine lake across the street from my place. Swimming and fishing are allowed, so is boating and motor boating. Massive historic (1700's) apple orchard right next to Rudyard Kipling's house. You pick or buy fresh heirloom varieties that can not be found anywhere else on earth. Scott Farm also grows gooseberries, medlars, quince, blueberries, grapes, pears, plums, peaches, cherries, apricots, currants, ginger, hops and paw paws.

Scott Farm also grows gooseberries, medlars, quince, blueberries, grapes, pears, plums, peaches, cherries, apricots, currants, ginger, hops and paw paws.
A National Historic Landmark, Naulakha was built for Rudyard Kipling in 1892. Much of Kipling’s original furniture remains, which means that guests can sit at the very desk where the famed author wrote The Jungle Book, Captains Courageous, and portions of the Just So Stories.

Haystack Mountain Trail is a 5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Wilmington, Vermont that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
