LOVE this quaint little place on north end of Georgetown. Only been for breakfast/lunch but its amazing. Great omelettes, pastries, coffee, etc. If you go just as the open, usually the wait isn't bad (if any). To get here, just take Rock Creek Parkway down from neighborhood, exit on P Street and turn left at top of the hill. Continue all the way to Wisconsin.

Great pizza place in N. Columbia Heights/Petworth. It's not a bad walk on a nice evening at just over 1 mile from the house. My favorite pizza in the entire city and not a tourist place. Definitely a place the locals go.

Wonderful park that stetches length of city. You can access it by taking Upshur Street (one block south of house) headed west (away from 16th). Continue down the hill (Mathewson St NW) and turn left on Blagden. You'll see the park just beyond there. On the north side of the Blagden entrance to the Park, about 2+ miles or the road is shut down on the weekends for walkers, cyclists, runners, etc.
