The Fortuna Foothills appear carved out of the sand of the dessert and their rugged cut tops are artistic against the sun rise and the moon landings over their tops. Mid September through March is a great time to be here if you want to get out and explore. Fall, winter, and spring weather in Yuma (Arizona) will normally be warm during the day and can be cold during the night so pack accordingly.
