You have to be a member to enjoy tastings, but they do allow guests to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it on their the property. Joanne's Market is also on the property. They serve grab and go food and snack items and have a beautifully curated gift and home section.

Really pretty property just behind the Lyndon B. Johnson Ranch. I more unassuming winery, but I really like their wine and the fact that you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy under their oak orchard.

Sightseeing
If you love the outdoors and hiking Enchanted Rock is a must see. You can hike to the top of the rock and have a great view of Hill Country. It feels like you are walking on the moon! There are lots of other trails in the park as well. You must make reservations and you should do so ahead of time if you'd like to visit.

Great place to visit if you are a history buff. Plan on being there the whole day if you want to take it all in. There is quite a bit of reading!

This museum is really fantastic for kids. It's in Johnson City, but worth the drive. Perhaps on your way in or out depending on which direction you are coming from. I truly think it's great for all ages. Johnson City is also a really cute town and worth checking out.

Fredericksburg is like New Orleans in that you can walk around with your beverage in hand! Our house is about a 10-15 min walk from the far end of Main Street. Parking can be a bit tricky, so if you are up for it, burn a few calories on your way there! Also to note that there is a playground in the town square if that's something you are looking for. There are often events in the square depending on the weekend.
