The 3,355-metre Mont Perdu stands proud over the vast jumble of surrounding peaks straddling the France-Spain border. On one side it dominates the deep, burning hot Ordesa, Pineta and Anisclo canyons. On the other, it commands the sweeping and magnificent Gavarnie, Troumouse and Estaubé cirques, cooled by waterfalls and great forests.

Let yourself be transported into a wholly separate green spacetime, that of the Baronnies region. Less than 1-hour drive from Maison Manéchal, on each hill, you will spot a farm or a hamlet, nestled at the foot of the mountains. The farms in the Baronnies region have authentic charm, providing a place to recharge your batteries, far from the world. They also produce a whole host of crafts and fine foods (including sheep and goat cheeses, spit cake, Tourte des Baronnies cake and fruit juices) which you can try when you chance upon one of these farms!
