This Pub/Restaurant offers a great selection of good food and a buzzing atmosphere, with a separate Sky Sports TV area for sport lovers. Walk towards the pier and you'll see it just back from the seafront.

5 minute walk from the house. They serve good quality breakfasts and lunches, with outside/inside seating right beside the beach. From our house go to the seafront and walk along the promenade eastwards (left); you'll pass the Redoubt Fortress and a Natural Fitness Centre on the way. Post lockdown they are covid-aware, with a reduced menu to minimise the number of kitchen staff, careful seating arrangements and spray cleaning of chairs and tables between guests.

The oldest pub in Eastbourne situated next to the Norman parish church of St Mary. If you're into history walk down the side of the pub to Crown Street and walk left to find Motcombe Park where the small lake is the source of the Bourne Stream that gave East-Bourne it's name.

Parks & Nature
Beautiful views of the lighthouse. There is car parking nearby or get a bus from the pier; walkers just head upwards from the Wish Tower then up the grassy hill by Bede's School. Definitely worth the walk on a fine day. The Beachy Head Pub is good for family meals.

Get the bus from the Pier or town centre to Exceat and walk to the sea, where you can touch the first cliff of the Seven Sisters. There is pub just beyond the river for a cool drink or lunch. If you want a longer hike (13 miles) take the bus to Seaford and walk back over the hills to Eastbourne - stunning views.

Take the no.12 bus from the pier or drive, but the car park gets busy in the summer months. A beautiful walk beside the meandering Cuckmere River to the sea and beach.
