Food Scene

Best food on Tybee and in my opinion, Savannah. So good they do not have to advertise. Reservation only for the evening meal. Great seafood and steaks.

Sightseeing

Designed by Robert E. Lee, the walls are 18' thick and was the last brick fort built in the US. During the Civil War, the Confederates surrendered this fort using the first rifled artillery bombardment ever done. This allowed for concentrated fire hitting one spot in the wall, breaking it down. Some of the unexploded shells are still stuck in the brick wall showing exactly what the wall looked like on the day of surrender.

Getting Around

In the summer it is easier to get around by renting a golf cart as there is a general shortage of parking.
