Food Scene
The best bakery in town is Au Pain de Mon Grand Pere (350M). You can get fresh baguettes, croissants etc. They also have delicious selection of cakes, quiches and sandwiches. Good place for breakfast and quick lunch.
There's also another Au Pain de Mon Grand Pere in the Krutneau (58 Rue de la Krutenau) - just 6 mins walk from the flat. If you are searching for desserts, then go there as the same desserts are cheaper eg. Mille feuille at the Cathedral would cost 3.30 Euros and 2.90 at the Krutneau.

Great for pizzas or takeaways. The quantities are huge. When we don't feel like cooking we ring up for a pizza or an onglet or whatever we fancy and then share. The team is really friendly there. If you are a deal searcher, then their lunch menus are pretty good.

If you like a good choucroute (typical Alsacian dish of sour cabbage and a variety of pork parts and sausages) this is a good place either to eat in or get a pre-packed choucroute for 2 which you can share between 2-3/4 people... portions are always plentiful.
