Gunnamatta Ocean Beach
Patrolled ocean beach, safer for swimming.
UNPATROLLED Beach: On a clear day, this beach is stunning. Large sand area for throwing down a beach towel and chilling out. Or take a long jog on the sand. Limited phone reception for some enforced nature time, and not too crowded. Take care if swimming, no lifeguards.

Rye Ocean Beach
UNPATROLLED Beach: On a clear day, this beach is stunning. Large sand area for throwing down a beach towel and chilling out. Or take a long jog on the sand. Limited phone reception for some enforced nature time, and not too crowded. Take care if swimming, no lifeguards.
CLOSEST BEACH: Tootgarook Front beach (its the Bay, usually no waves) perfect for small children and popular with morning dog walkers. Pack your sunshade and cricket set and spend the whole day cooling off in the water.
From the house, Turn right and hook right again, head straight down Leonard Street, 1km walking distance on flat ground.
White beach
CLOSEST BEACH: Tootgarook Front beach (its the Bay, usually no waves) perfect for small children and popular with morning dog walkers. Pack your sunshade and cricket set and spend the whole day cooling off in the water.
From the house, Turn right and hook right again, head straight down Leonard Street, 1km walking distance on flat ground.
For the serious walkers, this is a 26km hiking trail which spans the entire peninsula, between Arthurs Seat and Cape Schanck. Recommended to be hiked in sections rather than all at once, there are no campsites along the trail. See Parks Victoria website for info on any walks in the area.
