Drinks & Nightlife

What a great place to visit if you are a beer, whiskey or mixed drink fan. Such a casual atmosphere where you sit back and relax and listen to a live band during the weekend, or just hang at the bar tasting a variety of their massive selection of whiskey. If you are in need of a small meal Lark has that as well. Service is great and the bartenders are more than willing to help you pick what's to your liking. We had the Lark Distillery sampler which is a good go to.

Food Scene

This is a really great grass-roots style bar/eatery. My bud and I were in town for a few nights and looking for a mid-range kind of restaurant for dinner. The menu is short and reliably constructed with good local ingredients and a few sneaky twists. If you eat meat you're in for a treat, but if you're vegetarian you won't be lost. The drinks menu is short but also covers all the bases. Beyond what is listed, the guys who own and work in the joint are incredibly personable and know a lot about the local breweries, their products and how to make an inventive cocktail. Ask them about the sloe gins. The grey-haired dude (Stu?) even let us sample his favourite and most precious whiskey. My mate bought a bottle of locally brewed gin and the owners told us some funny jokes. Go here, you won't be disappointed!
