Food Scene

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, then quite frankly, you’re in trouble. This dessert cafe is smack bang next to Stepney Green Underground station – so there’s no avoiding it’s sugary goodness. Desserts, milkshakes, coffee and more than 30 flavours of gelato – Sweet is best avoided if you’re on a diet!

Drinks & Nightlife

An art deco lover’s heaven, Troxy is the top spot for music, club nights, comedy and live entertainment in Stepney. Entertaining the masses since 1932, this venue has welcomed acts such as London Grammar, Nick Cave and Robbie Williams. As a Grade II listed building, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Parks & Nature

Built on a neglected bombsite in the 1970s, this urban oasis is three acres of fun, fur and animal cuteness. We love this working farm for a day out with kids, for lunch at the award-winning on-site café, or for a relaxed stroll. Keeping city kids in touch with nature is a great cause in itself, whilst the Rural Arts Centre showcases trades and crafts that are being used less and less. Genuinely a lovely place to while away a summer’s day.
