Sightseeing

Tankerton Slopes is about a mile of fairly flat grass at the top of a grassy slope extending down to the promenade which is at the top of the beach. They stretch from the eastern end of Tankerton all the way to the Whitstable Castle. The sea views from here are amazing and are a great place to view the sunrises and the famous Whitstable sunsets.

Shopping

Whitstable has many independent shops including a great book shop. Well worth a visit. There is also plenty of supermarkets as well for a big shop; a couple in the town and five more just outside the town.
