Bed & breakfasts in Samara Beach

Sonia's and Stephane's home was lovely! Pros: the hosts are phenomenal, friendly, and responsive. The location makes you feel like you have a little jungle in your front yard. We saw the cutest monkeys, lizards, and dogs on the property. ( the closest monkey experience we had on our whole trip!), The pool was very relaxing and clean. Great breakfast for a reasonable price. Overall the room is quite big, with a large bed. Cons: Not many downsides but for a longer stay if you wanted to cook, or have more kitchen amenities this would be challenging. I believe they are on their way to adding these features! Overall would recommend this stay and would love to stay again!

Very clean, well supplied and equipped, on site staff were very friendly and easy to deal with.

Our four days here were the best part of our Costa Rica vacation! Extremely charismatic, inspiring and multilingual hosts. Private cabins with everything you need for your needs. The food in the restaurant is royal and fantastically delicious. The pool is cleaned with ecological means. 5 minutes to the ocean with monkeys, birds and beautiful nature on the way. We highly recommend staying here if you are in Costa Rica!

Mama as beach bungalows was everything I hoped for. A little ways away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa but with the quad rental Mary set us up with getting around was easy and so fun. The beach nearby was beautiful and mostly empty. Awesome tide pools with interesting crabs and fish, a resident gecko, iguanas, howler monkeys, squirrels and birds all playing in the trees around the bungalow. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds, and the most responsive host I’ve had. Mary was helpful from the moment we booked until even after we left. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone and hope to visit again soon. Perfect hub for getting around Santa Teresa, Cabuya and montezuma. Pura vida!

Excelente mi familia y yo la pasamos muy bien la comida extraordinaria es un lugar para olvidarse por un momento de la realidad del dia a dia y el trato de los anfitroones excelente lo recomiendo al 100% la piscina una delicia tambien.

We had the best 7 nights here. The location is great, just off the main road so it felt secluded yet only 5 minutes to all the restaurants. All the staff, Oli and Emilie were so nice and helpful. Our room was large and had everything we needed. We recommend having their breakfast, it’s great value and good! We felt relaxed throughout, and there is a nice social area by the pool where me made friends with other guests. A nice community feel. We honestly loved it and would like to come again and bring friends. We also adored Emma, their wonderful calm dog ha!

A great place to spend a week at the end of our trip to Costa Rica. Carlos and Marvin were very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was great so we could prepare our own meals, when we didn’t want to eat out. Great hikes to the waterfalls and Playa Grande and Playa Cocalita. Really enjoyed our stay.

Séjour en famille avec 2 enfants 6 et 8 ans. La cabane vue mer est magnifique !!! L'environnement exceptionnel !!! on a vu est entendu des singes🐒🐒🐒 tout les jours ! La piscine est nickel et l'eau est chaude ! C'est le meilleur logement de notre séjour au Costa Rica! centre vilage a 5 min à pieds! la plage de Montezuma est magnifique et peu fréquenté. Notre coin du Costa Rica préféré 😃😃 ! Merci pour l'accueil

L'hôte à pas répondu à nos questions quand nous cherchions pour Le site. Donc on a du chercher longtemps sans son support. Par contre membres du personnel très accomodants. Très beau bien situé près d'une superbe plage. Excellent déjeuner avec un excellent service.

We had the best time staying at Calypso. The host Nico was friendly and personable, and we felt right at home. It was the perfect location being in walking distance to everything in the area that you would want to see. It was clean and a beautifully unique property. We look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour (10 nuits) chez Mauro et Julio ! Ils sont très sympathiques et disponibles, n’hésitez pas si vous avez des questions, ils pourront vous conseiller et vous recommander grâce à leurs connaissances de la région. Santa Teresa étant à 2km, il est facilement possible de s’y rendre en quad/scooter, à pied (30 min), en bus (lignes directes et régulières) ou même en stop. Le logement est donc un bon prix pour la région. De plus, le petit déjeuner compris est frais et très bon (même si un peu redondant pour un long séjour) et servi par la gentille et rayonnante Anabel. Il n’y a pas d’air conditionné, mais le ventilateur est efficace. La salle de bain privée est correcte et il est très pratique d’avoir un frigo à disposition! Le seul petit bémol est le matelas, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer des nuits reposantes!

Dione's room is separated from her house by a short walkway and porch where we ate breakfast and chatted each morning. She makes something different each day. The private room included a mini frig, excellent air conditioning and was otherwise well-appointed. I loved the thick towels! We really enjoyed the birds in the trees around the house, hearing the howler monkeys and seeing white-faced monkeys at a distance. We appreciated Dione's tips on local experience gems and, of course, the fine sand of beautiful Playa Carrillo. We strongly recommend this host and AirBnB!

Arthur is a great host, and makes a stellar breakfast too! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the hustle and bustle of tamarindo, but in the peace and quiet of this lovely place!

Es war alles wirklich sehr stimmig. Eine wunderschöne Anlage, die nicht zu gross ist. Sehr sauber, herzliches und zuvorkommendes Personal und ein gutes Restaurant. Wir sind mit Baby gereist und dieser Ort war perfekt dafür. Der Pool ist auch klasse und man hat von dort aus einen wunderschönen Blick. Wir können dieses Hotel zu 100% empfehlen.

This place was awesome! It had a shared dining room and kitchen with other guests, which we tend to shy away from, but ended up really liking the other guests, the hosts, and the host's dog, Mogly (sp?). Room was small, but didn't feel cramped and the bed was super comfy. The provided breakfast was delicious and nutritious!

One night stay was perfect here. Karla and Alberto made sure we were taken care of and provided a delicious breakfast with a great spread of food. Nice pool and weight area available. The location is ideal walking distance to the beach. Would return again.

What a great location. The hotel next door had a great restaurant and pool were were able to use. It was a little warm and there was no AC, but the fans were great. The iguanas on the metal roof made a bit of noise overnight but hard to nit pick the price and location.

Kyna and Elmer (...and Mogli) are great hosts. They made me feel very comfortable when I was there solo after my wife and daughter went back to the US a few days before I did. And the villas are very quiet and peaceful....very relaxing. Breakfast every morning was healthy and delicious. And whether you are a surfer or just a beach lover, the ocean (Playa Avellana) is truly a very short walk away from the villas. I have been traveling in Costa Rica for many years, and this place stands out as one of the best. I would stay (and probably will) there again for sure!

We loved the beach bungalow! Our room was clean upon arrival. The breakfast each morning included several options. The hosts were always kind and helpful. Luis worked all the time cleaning the pool, rooms, floors, etc. the pool was surprisingly deep and refreshingly cool after being in the hot sun. Walking to the beach was a breeze. We opted to go in front of Lola’s every time which would be a bit of a walk with small kids. The beach immediately near the house is very rocky but down the beach is perfect. We loved “La esquina” for a quick bite when we didn’t want to cook at the house. Street could be a bit noisy at times but only during the day. The drive to Villareal to get groceries is a little rough but worth a trip right away to stock up.
