This was the perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. It was in town so everything was close and easy to get to, but far enough out it wasn't crowded or noisy. The was a fantastic restaurant, Travesia, just a minute walk, and Rodriguez Soda next door that is a fun quirky place we walked to for breakfast. There also a little convenient store we could walk to for waters and munchies. The loft was nicely decorated and comfortable. It had kitchen amenities for cooking, and we were happy to have coffee and tea available. The wifi was reliable and smart tv was key for watching shows. We were also very thankful for the clothes washer & dryer and for having air-conditioning in each room. Alex was a great host, super responsive and offered local ideas. We would for sure recommend this place and stay here again.

Arenal Travesía Loft #1

Lovely space to stay for our four nights in Fortuna. Location is in good proximity to center. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. The host was very helpful in scheduling a transfer from Monteverde plus activities in town. The host’s restaurant Travesia is very tasty and worth a try. Theres a small convenience store across the street which was very handy. The Mexican restaurant next door is also good. The space was clean and spacious with a laundry machine that was so helpful to have. The balcony is lovely to have for both enjoying the rain plus getting a view of the volcano. Only downsides were that the tub would have some difficulty with heating up but the host was very helpful in troubleshooting. Also, the Airbnb was closer to a loud street than expected. It’s not horrible but the traffic noise did wake us up early. Overall recommend!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Erik’s place. It was the perfect oasis. The location was perfect walkable to town and restaurants. We loved the size of the room and the rooftop was so perfect for reading and yoga. We hope to return to La Fortuna and plan to stay again . Thank you Erik!

Natural & Cozy Arenal Getaway

This was a destination in itself! We truly did not even want to leave to venture out into La Fortuna for how beautiful this space was! We were greeted by the host upon arrival , she showed us the room, how to lock the doors. use the lights… as well as provided us with water and two coconut drinks as welcoming gifts! We left only to eat. However, in the mornings , we were gifted fresh fruit and pastries. The kitchen had coffee, sugar. I purchased eggs and made eggs every morning on a small burner plate. Everything we had in the room was just enough. We’ve been to Costa Rica a handful of times, we’ve even stayed in bungalows on the beach. And this Airbnb is our favorite so far. The hospitality was top notch! We will be back! And we will bring friends and family! Thank you again Ivette and Javier for sharing such an amazing place with us. So thankful . 🙂

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Le loft est très propre. Il est situé en retrait de la ville ce qui permet d’être au calme et à proximité de Monteverde et des différentes randonnées. La vue du logement sur la nature est magnifique! A noter que la voie d’accès au logement est une piste et qu’il est préférable d’avoir un véhicule adapté.

This was the perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. It was walkable to everything downtown, but also offered secure parking, so we were able to park our rental car. Even though it was right in town, it was quiet and private. The place was very well designed, with all the amenities we needed. We wished we had more time at home to just relax in the space (we were mostly off adventuring). The host was extremely helpful - we were able to check-in early, he helped us plan some excursions, and was most accommodating when we had an early adventure planned for the morning of check-out. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal situation. Highly recommend!

For the La Fortuna experience, this is the best you can get! Nestled in the heart of the city, yet we felt private and safe in this house and the community. Less than a ten minute drive to the major attractions. Costarica is beautiful, but staying here made it that much better. Also the view from the backyard of the Arenal Volcano😍

La casa è completa di tutto quello che serve: acqua calda, coperte (siamo in montagna e puó essere fresco la notte), cucina completa. C'è un patio delizioso dove godersi il fresco e il canto degli uccelli. Tutto è molto pulito e tenuto molto bene. Emily è gentile e simpatica. La posizione ottima.

We stayed for 3 nights. Its close to the main road and therefore louder than expected. Santa Elena is also quite touristy. The whole place looks a bit bigger on the pictures but is really nice for a few days! We liked the garden and balcony a lot and despite cold and rainy weather throughout our stay we saw lots of birds and Agouti and Coati directly on the property. Pris gave us some great advise on parks to experience the cloud forests.

The stay is located right above a coffee shop/restaurant. It was super convenient for us to grab coffee and breakfast before our trips around La Fortuna. The electronic entry didn’t work but Randall was quick to notify us of the alternative! The only things to watch for are the noise levels; it’s a busy street and closing the bedroom door is essential. Overall a solid stay in La Fortuna!

Excelente espaço bem próximo a praça principal da cidade. Cozinha com detergente e esponja (o que é raro) e bons utensílios, cafeteira com filtro e café, toalhas e roupão de boa qualidade, cama confortável e grande (com diversas opções de travesseiros), chuveiro bom e fácil de regular, tv grande, internet boa, silencioso, jardim exuberante, espaço fácil de estacionar. Só não usamos a jacuzzi por falta de tempo. Recomendamos.

Roy’s place was great for two people visiting La Fortuna. We did have a car but we walked into town a few times. He also provides breakfast ordering options, which was great for early mornings before tours. A great quiet home base!

I absolutely loved this place. In walking distance to many great restaurants! Always smiling faces on the grounds and there were such beautiful views every way you looked. I was solo traveling and I felt completely safe in the area. Even when leaving a restaurant at night. The place is very populated. Every question I had was answered quickly. Thank you for an amazing birthday stay! I will be back. Please also try the restaurant next door sooooo tasty and affordable!

Great spot in La Fortuna, nice and close to walk into town. We had a great dinner at Rainforest Cafe, then some gelato in a little market area close by. The instructions we received upon booking were easy to follow, clear and concise. Having stayed in many AirBnB’s in Costa Rica and the challenges with finding places, this experience was extremely welcome after a long days drive. The jacuzzi tub was great to relax in after our walk into town for dinner. We typically stay in smaller places and decided to treat ourselves after camping for a few days. It was worth a little extra to stay in this lovely, clean and well equipped room. It definitely added to our experience on our travels around the country. We also took advantage of their breakfast, it was a welcome option to all us to get started on our day without going to another restaurant. Wendy & Ben

We enjoyed our stay! The Airbnb was walkable to the downtown area so it was nice for getting meals. There’s also a very good restaurant next door we went to for lunch. It was a quick drive to all the activities we participated in. The little rooftop was cute and we enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Reyna is the best :) She is always happy & ready to help. We stayed in another house because reparation was needed, but she really came through. There are often no numbers at the houses in Costa Rica so due to an internet problem it was a little search to find the right house, but after that we were happy we stayed in a nice neighbourhood and also close to the centre.
