Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Lovely cottage in Svensby, Lyngen. Beautiful location 10 m from the sea, in the middle of the Lyngen Alps. Only 90 minutes drive from Tromsø, including a short ferry trip. Northern lights wintertimes, midnight sun summertimes. Spectacular hiking tours all year. På dette hytten kan man virkelig slappe av. Hytten har høy standard, bygget i 2017 og er romslig. Fint plassert like vet et av Norges beste ørret og røyevann, Laksvatn. Om vinteren er dette en unik plass for Nordlys og toppturer på ski med mange spektakulære fjell i området som laksvatentinden og store Blåmann. Om sommeren er det fine tur og fiskemuligheter, rikt fugleliv, sykkel eller fjellturer. Senk skuldrene, her er det også Jacuzzi og badstue.

This house looks like a little cathedral, and lies only a five minutes walk from the centre of Tromsø. Large windows in the front gives a magnificent view of the city, the sea and the Mountains. The house was finished in 2019. We have choosen exclusive materials and design furniture. You’ll see that it’s made by heart. Helga, the host, lives in the house next door, and is readily available. Cottage is 250 m from the main road so in winter times you need 4wd car for going there! Price pr night to hire the jacuzzie is 50 euro. price pr night for the sauna is 30 euro.
