The house features a traditional turf roof and the body of the house still features the same wood/oak which was placed in 1896, giving the house a real warmth. The view is extraordinary, featuring Nólsoy and the harbor of Tórshavn. The renovations of the house give it a modern touch without taking away from the original design.

Næsten 200 år gammelt fredet stenhus i den i historiske bygd Húsavík på Sandoy. Du bor tæt på naturen i et gammelt traditionelt færøsk stenhus med græs på taget, vægge af træ og træ- og stengulve. Huset er i en længe, hvor du går igennem ’røgstuen’ (hvor sovepladsen er) ind i stuen (glasstuen). I røgstuen er der højt til loftet, mens der i stuen er lavere, med udsigt over havet. Badeværelse af ældre dato, og et lille køkken med nye elementer og opvaskemaskine.
