Celebrating english antiquity in a home was a rare treat. Warm and welcoming with a delicious brekkie and cosy rooms. Jane was a consummate hostess and hugely helpful & knowledgeable about the locality as well as her beautiful home. Thankyou from us both. Highly recommend.

AirBnB started with the premise that hosts would welcome travelers into their homes. It was/is a nice ideal: we travel the world to encounter people with experiences that may differ from ours. Miranda and Mark exemplify that notion. They clearly enjoy meeting people from all lands and provide a beautiful and comfortable place for them to stay. Stamford is a charming town. Just walking around the center is great entertainment. We only made an overnight stay while passing through but would have liked to spend more time.

My family and I stayed in the suite at the guest house. Everyone slept well, and the shower was nice and warm. The wireless internet didn't reach the suite, but was available in the main house, where we were welcome to sit for the evening. Breakfast was provided and was excellent and had a wide variety of options including a full English. Our hosts were very hospitable and helpful when we needed to find food and also when my wife suffered an allergic reaction. All in all, we would definitely come back next time that we're in the area.

This was our second stay and we had a very nice relaxing time again, greeted on arrival with delicious tea and cake and made to feel very welcome. We had a fantastic meal on the first night cooked by the very talented Louise and a beautiful cooked breakfast each morning, highly recommend place to stay and hopefully we will come again.

I enjoyed my last minute stay. Sian is very helpful and communicative. Even though I had some issues unable to check in a bit late, Sian was beyond helpful in making sure I'm in and comfortable.

Lovely place to stay. Would recommend highly. Judy was helpful, friendly, always chatted with us. Would stay here again. Her attention to detail- cooked my fiance’s extra long, the little touches in the room- teas, biscuits etc. This all made for a great stay.

The host was very welcoming, and the room was really nice! It was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The bedding was beautiful and very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Many things were provided, such as tea and coffee, and there were magazines and maps on the table for reading. The house is also close to the train station, within walking distance.

Margaret was a super host responsive friendly and welcoming. even more than. I had expected with some lovely little extras in the room on arrival. highly recommended. will be back very soon.

This Airbnb was very cozy and clean. The space was well laid out and comfortable. We met our hosts on several occasions during our stay. They were a lovely couple. We highly recommend this Airbnb.

sehr schönes Zimmer (mit toller rückenfreundlicher Matratze) in einem wirklichen liebevollen Zuhause. Garten konnte aufgrund der Witterung leider nicht genutzt werden, aber sollte man das Glück haben, hier an ein paar sonnigen Tagen zu verweilen so ist dies sicher nochmal ein echter Gewinn. Very simple and straight forward. Scenic 20min walk to the city centre or less on public transport.

Nasreen was extraordinarily welcoming. She gave me my choice of room and in the morning offered coffee and my choice of toast, fruit, cereal, and porridge for breakfast, joining me in a very pleasant conversation at the kitchen table. Her comfortable home is also conveniently located -- about a 6-minute walk from a stop for the bus to Audley End rail station and just over 15 minutes’ walk to picturesque Market Square. There is also a nearby Tesco where one can get microwaveable meals. Check-out was easy. Highly recommended for a relaxing and economical stay!

Absolutely loved staying at the DeVere House! It was a dream come true and the room was perfect! The host, Jane was very welcoming and so friendly! I felt right at home here and was sad to leave. It’s a quaint and quiet place to relax and explore the town.

Notre séjour s'est bien passé : la chambre correspondait à la description, était propre, et le jardin était charmant. Jane répondait vite aux messages et était très chaleureuse quand nous l'avons rencontrée. Le petit-déjeuner était très bien également. Le centre-ville est accessible à pied, et le quartier calme, surtout le soir.

Staying at Tim's house was truly special. From the moment he welcomed us into his beautifully decorated home we felt so comfortable. Our bedroom was just amazing with everything you could possibly need plus extras that were very much appreciated. Tim is a wonderful host and he treated us to the most spectacular breakfasts. Although the house is within easy walking distance of the town centre it was very quiet. We can't recommend Tim highly enough and we would love to come back.

I have to say I am so lucky to stay in Althea's place. Very nice house and room. Althea is very lovely and friendly, and she shows me around the city, stores. We have a lot of talks. It just feel at home. 100% recommendation😃

We absolutely loved our stay. Both hosts were really friendly and the food was excellent. Accommodation was gorgeous, clean and quiet. Loved to sit out in the garden to relax. Highly recommended.
