The Old Rectory is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush fields and nature. It’s a perfect place to stay for rambling holidays or just to relax. This original Victorian building was great to explore its grand interior. Caroline was a lovely host and was very welcoming throughout our stay. There was also a lovely dog called Sam that greeted us on arrival! Every morning a cooked breakfast was served at your requested time with fresh tea and coffee. The spread of granola and other cereals was a great addition. Just to note (from staying in the green room) the bathroom and toilet facilities are not attached to the room- instead you leave your room and walk down a hall to them but you are in your own private wing of the house.

Double room was nice. However 2 points could be improved upon: 1. The bathroom towels were in a cupboard, hidden from view and weird. Place towels in bathroom or on bed would be more logical. Towels were spotlessly clean, and very fresh. 2. Tea and Coffee tray was placed on floor below dressing table. This would not be any good for elderly clients, I moved the tray onto the dressing table, which would be a more ergonomic in general. That said Hotel was clean, very well situated with ample parking, and very friendly staff. Would recommend to friends and family!!

The stay with Samantha was great! As the hostess, she was very nice and always responded quickly and kindly to our messages in advance. We also really liked the room. It was cosy (especially the bed!), clean and we had everything we needed. She also provided tea and coffee and a kettle in the room. There was crockery and a small fridge in the hallway. The accommodation is located in a quiet residential area and the city centre is about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, a clear recommendation! :)

Easy checkin. Car park at rear. Spotlessly clean bathroom and bedroom. Fan provided was very efficient! Hearty fried breakfast.

Great value - very clean, and great amenities. Very quiet which was unexpected as it was full up for a festival in the town. Breakfast eas even provided free of charge. Will definitely come back.

Debbie and her family were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Beautiful setting in the countryside with farmland all around, and the very best pub just a stroll down the lane. Lovely room with a great view. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

Wow. What an amazing host. Ahmed couldn’t have been more helpful to me and my friend instantly made us feel welcome was kind and funny. He went above and beyond for us. I will absolutely be back to stay again. Everything was as described easy check In he even let us have a late Check out wich was fanstatsic. Thank you so much x

Had an excellent stay beautiful bedroom. Excellent value for money . Had everything you needed only suggestion if staying for a couple of days be nice to have mini fridge to keep milk and pop cold.nice swimming pool , hot tub and steam room . Could relax and play darts and pool. Will definitely stay again. Very welcoming hosts nothing was too much trouble

We came to Torquay to celebrate my birthday and had booked a stay at the Redcliffe Hotel, however once we got there we found there was no outdoor pool and that was the only reason we drove there. We got a refund and we had to find somewhere to stay quickly as it was already late afteroon; we found Debbie's guest house and immediately fell in love with it. I messaged Debbie to confirm we could go as it was so late and she replied immediately. When we got there we were greeted by Ian, who made us feel welcome and at home. He showed us around and was so friendly and chatty. We had a lovely stay, the room was so spacious, even had a mini fridge and the pool was amazing, just what I wanted! Both Debbie and Ian were always available and ready to give recommendations for attractions and food. Ian entertained us with some of his life stories and cooked us an incredible breakfast. I am grateful we found this guest house last minute, it made my birthday so special and we'd definitely go back!

Really enjoyed our stay and was a great location. Used both pools but mainly the indoor pool, due to outside being cold from weather. Loved the indoor pool, had it to ourselves for most of it. Lovely spacious room, very clean. Hoping to come again another year.

Such lovely people who work there really enjoyed the stay the area around it was lush and the hotel itself was so beautiful definitely recommend staying there especially with there lovely pool and hot tub !!

Peaceful, clean and luxurious. The perfect balance of modern luxury and traditional building, warm friendly staff and great atmosphere. Tastefully renovated bathroom and nicely furnished.
