Approx. 10 miles/25 min. from University of Notre Dame & Amish country, this rural apartment is our finished basement that we reside over. With own private walk-out entrance from back of the house, unit includes 2 BR's (one very small), full bath (shower, no tub), kitchen/family room & laundry room. Once outside, you're on 60 acres of rolling pasture + 17 acres of forest. There are cattle, sheep, chickens & dogs (+ a couple of barn cats & seasonal pigs.). Plenty of space for hiking & exploring.

This TINY studio is located in an old 4-unit apartment house, so there is some in-house sound transfer. Our neighborhood is usually quiet, but not always. Memorial Hospital 3 blocks, Notre Dame 2.5 miles, downtown 1/2 mile. 8 minutes to SB Airport and 80/90 Toll Road.

Stay in our studio apartment suite with private exterior door entrance. Hosts live in the rest of the house. From the backyard you can fish, kayak/canoe, SUP rental $10, enjoy a bonfire, grill, and relax by the river. There's a new king memory foam bed, sleeper sofa, and 49" TV. Mileage to ND Campus is 11.4. 15 Minutes to Elkhart Aquatic Center. Approx 20 Min to Four Winds Casino (Via the 20 Bi-pass) This Spring 2021 The Silk was chosen by AIRBNB as the 2d best place to stay in the greater South Bend-Mishawaka area. I close in January and February but re-open in March.
