Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. Stunning house, stunning location. The attention to detail was fantastic, Philippa and Andrew were so approachable, friendly and helpful and they helped to make our stay comfortable. The house was spotless and full of everything we needed. Our children are already asking how soon we can come and visit again. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and the view were gorgeous, what a gem of a find. Very much looking forward to returning to Yoredale House, Thankyou for having us!

Beautiful cottage everything you need for a few days away. A very nice welcome with milk in the fridge and cookies to have a cuppa when we arrived. Lovely living room Beautiful bedrooms and bedding and a lovely bathroom with a great shower and plenty of hot water. Would go back again .

We had a lovely short break. The cottage is located perfectly for visits to the coast and local towns and villages. The courtyard garden was secure for the dog and lovely to sit in the sunshine. The cottage had everything we needed and Adrian was really helpful. Thank you for having us.

Great few days in this lovely little cottage . Within walking distance of our favourite restaurant (a bit in the dear side but great food ) we walked to the beach around a mile or so from the cottage. John was always quick to respond to any messages via air B&B and also let us know we could get in a little earlier than originally stated. Slight down side can be a little noisy from the road through the village but to be expected due to its position. It didn’t really give us any issues. Full of modern appliances and a modern kitchen. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Salt and Surf to celebrate my mum's birthday in lovely Saltburn. The property is very clean and has all the amenities you could need, and sitting in the window seat watching the sea with the log burner roaring behind was bliss! Thank you for an incredible stay and we will be back.

A beautiful house in a beautiful small town. Very peaceful and authentic. An easy 40 minute drive from York. Alex was an amazing host who responded to messages quickly and friendly, gave very clear easy to understand instructions of how to find the property. Would recommend staying. Just mind your head on some low ceilings, typical of the period and age of the property.

great historic cottage well located for town and for touring the wider area. free parking (if busy). All functioned very well and hosts are very helpful.

Fantastic flat in a great location within easy walking distance of Peasholm Park and North Bay. Lots of great touches in this comfortable apartment and plenty of room for 2 x families of 4. Plenty of parking on the doorstep, just use the discs provided. Mark was a great host and so easy to contact. We'll definitely look to use again.

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

Lovely apartment; exactly as pictured and described. Nice location. Hidden from main streets but very convenient to beaches and other areas. Perfect for a weekend getaway

A fantastic location with all that York has to offer only a few minutes walk away. Flat was spacious and well equipped. Decor a bit dated and in need of a little refresh but nothing too awful and for the price, represented good value for money. Would recommend

I've stayed at this property several times, and it always lives up to my expectations. The property is always immaculately clean, and everything you could possibly need is provided. The location is ideal - just up the hill from the railway station, round the corner from the castle with its spectacular views, and only a very short walk from the River Nidd. The weather was very warm on my latest visit, but the property stayed lovely and cool - and I know from my visits in colder months that the heating works nicely when needed. The kitchen is really well appointed, with all appliances in perfect working order, and even an air fryer on my latest visit. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants only a short walk away, and the outdoor Knaresborough market takes place every Wednesday, complete with a Town Crier. I've already booked my next visit to stay here, which should give you some idea how much I like it!

Our group of four loved our stay at Louise's. The flat is very centrally located and easily walkable to all of the city center in York. We visited during a holiday weekend so there was (expectedly) some street noise at night but the flat was secure and comfortable. We would certainly stay again.
