Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.

Short walk to a shoppingsenter, grocery store, hiking areas, the popular cable cars (Fjellheisen) and the famous cathedral (Ishavskatedralen). 30 minutes walk to the city center. Bus to the city center and the airport leaves 1 minute away from the house, «nr. 26 Flyplassen». Bikes are available, and a car that belongs to the house can be rented when available.

The cabin is situated on the roof of the tunnel to Malangen and just by the seaside. The living room has great windows that give you a feeling of being outside when are sitting warm and comfortably inside. Perfect for spotting for the northern lights. The cabin has three large bedrooms, a nice bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen. Everything is ready for you to have a great stay just outside amazing Tromsø. The cabin is completely renovated (2022). Welcome!
