Vakantiewoningen met open haard in Stranda Municipality

What a wonderful home away from home for a long weekend! The house is part of two different worlds - one the rural Norway of the past and the other very much the present. Being on a working dairy farm also made us reflect on the sources of our food and how much we take for granted day-to-day. We enjoyed convenient access to kayaking, hiking, cruising the fjord by ferry to Geiranger, and cooking local foods in the well-appointed kitchen. Special thanks to Synnove for fresh home-baked bread and sending on our way with slices of cake for the journey.

Martins place is amazing. We felt immediately like home and having the cozy fireplace in the main room was very nice. Everything was super clan and well in order, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed, except a hairdryer at the beginning, but Martin organized immediately that someone brought us a brand new one the next day. We were blessed with 180 cm snow within our one week stay and with spectacular polar lights which we observed on the upper terrace on New Year’s Eve as well as on the day after. Our main activity during our stay was to go ski at the Strandafiellet ski resort only a 10 minute drive up the mountain, which we also can highly recommend. Martin was super responsive and helpful when we were in need (we got stuck in the snow with our car a view times) and directed us for the best route back to Oslo on the snowy winter roads. We highly recommend Martins place and we would love to come back some day.

Randi is an amazing host. We didn’t actually meet, but felt she was extremely hospitable from multiple text exchanges. Her home is so classic Norwegian. It is, as she said, the home she grew up in. She and her husband built a home nearby on the acreage. The home is very spacious and would easily serve the needs of several family members (We were two!) Note that the setting is a few miles from the small village of Hellesylt, the launch point for the ferry to Geiranger. In that sense it is perfect, but you will need to have a vehicle. We ended up taking two trips to Geiranger. The setting for her home is utterly spectacular, one of the most beautiful sites we’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend.

It’s a very nice home located nearby water surrounded by mountains. It contains everything that is required in a household. We loved it. Highly recommended.

This was my 3rd time at Roar's farm and as before, it was amazing. Location is brilliant, the house is perfect and Roar is really friendly. He even gave us deer meat (from his own farm) as a gift, because it was my 3rd time staying at the farm. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place to come and stay. The views were spectacular and unlike anything we’d seen before. There were lots of opportunities for hiking, relaxing and getting away from all the hustle and bustle. I would highly recommend and would definitely come again. Monika and her family were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The only thing I would do differently is hire a car as it is quite remote. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay with our two kids. The hosts were very helpful and responsive with any questions we had. Beautiful view of the fjord and the mountains. Close to many beautiful hiking and sight-seeing opportunities. The house was wonderful and included everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Would definitely recommend to others.

Martin es un anfitrión excepcional, siempre estuvo en contacto con nosotros dándonos consejos para una buena llegada y alojamiento. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Väldigt rent och fräscht! Kändes som en lyxig vistelse utan att behöva ta in på hotellet bredvid. Det fanns gott om plats för tre personer (ett par och en vän) och vi kunde laga mat när restaurangerna hade stängt över påsken! Väldigt trevlig granne som bodde på övervåningen som hjälpte oss hitta dessutom som gav platsen en ytterligare charm! Tack för besöket!

Vi hadde et veldig fint opphold på hytta med åtte gjester. Fin beliggenhet og god komfort på hytta. God standard og bra fasiliteter. Kommunikasjon med verten var super :)

Vi hade en helt magisk vistelse på Villa Kristina – huset är något utöver det vanliga. Designen är genomtänkt in i minsta detalj, med en utsikt som måste upplevas för att förstås. Att vakna upp till panoramavyer över fjord och fjäll, och avsluta dagen framför brasan i loungen var ren lyx. Allt var rent, modernt och välutrustat. Det enda vi hade att anmärka på var att ljudsystemet kopplades upp via Bluetooth och anslutningen kopplade ofta ifrån, vilket kändes något omodernt för ett i övrigt så välplanerat och modernt hem. Kommunikation med värden fungerade smidigt. Rekommenderas varmt – vi kommer definitivt tillbaka!

Such an amazing location in Olden and we loved being right on the water. Couldn’t think of a better place to stay. We loved spending time outside in the jacuzzi and using the fire pit. The town is nearby and the home included everything we needed.

Geweldig huis, mooie ruimtes, voorzieningen en stijlvol. Uitzicht is echt geweldig.

The house is very cozy and spacious, the view is priceless, and Mr. Olav is very helpful and kind. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend the place.

Vi hade en stor familj från Sverige som bodde hos Ketil’s hytte. Redan från bokningen var det redan mycket ändringar från vår sida, men upplevde hans kommunikation och flexibilitet fantastiskt. Det tackar vi för. Ved ankomst var Ketil på plats för att välkomna oss och förklarade hur allting fungerade samt besvarade alla våra frågor. Vi fick även låna hans båt och vara på hans båtplats där vi kunde grilla och SUP:a och bada. Det var en bra idé att vi fick komma en dag tidigare. Vi njöt verkligen allting! Huset var välstädat. Vi förväntade oss inte att få håndklær och sengetøy så allt var verkligen utöver våra förväntningar. Vi rekommenderar hytten och vi bokar gärna hos Ketil igen! Mvh Paula & John.

Vi har været rigtig glade for at bo i huset. Der var hyggeligt og alt fungerede som det skulle. Der er rigtig mange fine vandre muligheder direkte fra huset.

We had a great time in Valldal. Plenty nearby activities, nature, hikes and amazing views. Especially the view from the house to the fjord (while being in the hot tub) was stunning. The house provides everything you need, even some fruits you can pick in the garden. All 8 of us enjoyed our time in Valldal.
