Absolutely loved this location! Far enough away from the city, it made you feel like you were in the middle of nowhere! Not a car noise to be heard ! We loved all the fun games and things to do... the Cabin Trail was a very unique addition..we walked it many times always finding new creatures we hadn't seen the last walk! Highly recommend this peaceful vacation spot! Will be back ! Thanks Kinsey!

Sarah responded quickly & hosts a beautiful cabin on corner lot with Tonto National forest & trail head across the street. Peaceful back yard facing the forest while rocking on porch, relaxing in jacuzzi, drinking coffee or glass of wine, fire pit with s'mores provided or listening to the wind blow through the trees & elk walking all around! Pet friendly & safe. Great time & highly recommend

The cabin was beautiful and well equipped with everything! When we went up it was snowing which was a bonus. Deer would come out on the mornings and was so beautiful. They are pet friendly and that's another bonus! Lovely place and would stay again

Just wanted to rave about our amazing time at the Hillside Log Cabin! Meryl was the absolute sweetest – such a warm and helpful host, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The cabin itself? Wow! Spotless, and the kitchen was seriously stocked – they thought of everything! I even saw curling irons in the bathroom (though I didn't use them!). The backyard was a total dream, with a hot tub and the most breathtaking mountain views. I even got to do some wildlife watching with the binoculars – so cool! It was incredibly relaxing, and even our furry friends were pampered with their own bowls! Honestly, it was the perfect getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better escape. The hikes nearby are amazing, too! We especially loved the water wheel – so picturesque. And you absolutely HAVE to check out Washington Park Trailhead; the owners' recommendation was the best.. It felt like we'd been transported to Colorado, not Arizona! The cabin is wonderfully peaceful!! Thanks again !!!

This is such a fantastic property! It is spotless and well appointed, communication was simple, and there were many small touches that really made the stay feel special. Loved the attention to detail! The large deck is just as special as house. We used the property as a base for a hiking weekend in the area. Also loved watching the elk move through the property each day, whether from the deck or the huge inside window.

Beautiful home in a peaceful neighborhood. We couldn’t have asked for a better cottage. Fantastic big kitchen with a gorgeous gas range. Comfortable beds. Such a wonderful cabin. For those that are like me, seeking solitude in nature, this cabin is perfect. You're not far from some little Arizona mountain towns; beautiful drives on 87 or Lake Mary; elk; super dark skies at night with endless stars; state and national parks; and, an insane amount of hiking trails. The cabin has every single thing you could possibly need and is positioned beautifully to visit a number of sites in about a 90 minute radius. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this little cabin. Despite its size, it was well provisioned and we were able to find everything we needed. We were only here to stay overnight, but the kids loved it. My son spent the late afternoon on the little patio relaxing and it was very peaceful. Admittedly, it's a bit tight for a family of 4, but if you pack lightly like us you can certainly make it work (and we knew this going in). The mini-split helped maintain the perfect temperature and all 4 of us slept well. Julee and Justin's recommendation for dinner was spot-on and much appreciated. Despite being in a small community and there being some activity, the elk were all around in the early evening - we counted 22 in just one field alone! Do pay attention to Julee's instructions on getting up the driveway - it can be tricky if you're in a smaller vehicle. Overall this is a great place to stay in the area if you want to check out Tonto Natural Bridge, which is only roughly 15 minutes away.

So cute and comfortable with an excellent Location to strawberry//Pine . This sweet home is very special with Nice touches added to make you feel at home. Spotless cleaning. We loved the large Outdoor deck and ample parking for more than one car. We felt safe walking the neighborhood and Saw Elk . Scott was an excellent communicator. I will definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter weekend in Strawberry. The cabin is located in a peaceful part of town surrounded by tall pines. We all felt at home including our pups. We were greeted by some snow on our first day and spent the evening watching the snowfall from all of the windows. The following day we enjoyed soaking in the sun on the deck. We could not have asked for more during our stay, the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time here. Being able to walk the forest with our dog and kids was amazing. The vintage kitchen was fun, and the beds were comfy. It was exactly what we needed for a fun getaway!

This was a gem of a place to stay at. Didn't realize when I booked that it had an entire fenced in yard and it was absolutely perfect for my dog to have some space all to himself. I didn't have service out there but did make sure to have the instructions pulled up before I got out there just in case.

We came for my birthday and upon arrival there was a lovely birthday card and the fireplace was ready to go. All we needed to do was light it :) The cabin is gorgeous! So many beautiful details and we felt right at home! Just a heads up there are a few neighbors fairly close so sometimes you can hear them talking but still felt somewhat secluded and nice views. We loved seeing the deer and elk that came by every day. I would definitely love to come back here again! It was the perfect little getaway! Thank you Shelle! You are an amazing host!

this place was so beautiful. we had a relaxing beautiful stay. the surrounding were beautiful deer, elk, squirrels and havalina something every day. house was very clean and exactly as described. thank you Dustin for sharing your wonderful get away.

My husband and I were looking to get away from the busy city life. April’s place was perfect. Great cabin feel, peaceful, quiet, feet away from the creek. There is off roading to get to the place but its well maintained dirt road. We drove just fine in a small chevy Malibu. It’s totally worth the drive. We had everything we needed and more. Our host really went above and beyond making our stay feel as comfortable as possible. We technically didn’t have to drive anywhere we had everything but we did go for a horse ride that is nearby. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The price was perfect for an AMAZING weekend getaway!!! Had never been to Happy Jack, but highly recommend this place for family trips!!! It was WAY more than we expected and definitely one of our favorite houses we have ever stayed in!

The cabin was perfect for my boyfriend and I and our pup! Annie was always very responsive to all my questions. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Its located in a very cute neighborhood that's quiet and peaceful. We felt very at home. There is a food market close by in case you need/forget anything. We went on several hiking trails (water wheel falls trail and tonto national bridge are a must see), plus went to the strawberry schoolhouse which is Arizona's oldest schoolhouse built in 1884. We also visited the honey stand and lavender farm which are only a mile away. We would definitely stay there again!
