Lakewood Lofts - On The Lake

Welcome to Lakewood Lofts set on the shores of Lake Te Anau. You’ll enjoy the stunning lake and mountain view’s from our tastefully refurbished rooms. We are a short 5 minute stroll to the heart of the Te Anau village. After a big day in the elements, arrive back to a cosy private room relax and enjoy the beautiful lake vista. Tekapo Village is just a 10-minute walk (or 1-minute drive), where you’ll find cafés, restaurants, and local experiences. Free pick-up is available from the 12:05pm Intercity bus on request.

We are a Iconic kiwi style hostel/lodge, steeped in history and located on Gooches beach (great for swimming and surfing) and only few hundred metres from the town, bars and eateries.

This listing is for a twin room at Chester St Backpackers, our small, homely hostel in the central city. The two beds in the room are made up and have electric blankets. We are are a long term stay hostel, set up for backpackers who are stopping in Christchurch for a while to work and save for their next stage of travel and students studying nearby. We are just down the road from Ara. You will be part of a shared house overseen by Pipi the cat.
