Lake Wainamu is perfect for a swim in summer. Also explore the unique black sand dunes. Just 1 km before reaching Bethells Beach, on the left side of the road after you cross a one-lane bridge, you will find the entrance.

Beautiful walk around a natural lake & black sand dunes. Waterfalls hidden around the back of the lake too.

Park here and follow signs to the magnificent Wainamu Lake and sand dunes. Its will take 15 mins to walk but is well worth it. The sand dunes are about 30 meters high.

Beautiful fresh water lake fed by waterfall at head of lake. Extensive volcanic black sand dunes. Great walks around the lake.
