one of the oldest cinemas in the country showcasing beautiful and unique films hard to find elsewhere on the big screen as well as the latest successes. Seats are terribly comfy and you can bring your own food!

The 'Duke of York's "picturehouse" Cinema' is only 3 minutes’ walk away; it is a lovely Victorian cinema and has a great sun Bar balcony if you wanted a drink in the sun.

The Duke of York's Picture House is an art house cinema in Brighton, England, which lays claim to being the oldest cinema in continuous use in Britain. According to cinema historian Allen Eyles, the cinema "deserves to be named Britain's oldest cinema". In 2012 it was voted best Cinema in the UK. ...and it's located to the bottom of the street!

Officially the oldest running cinema that has been in continuous use since 1910. Part of the 'Picturehouse' chain of cinemas, and very close to its original form. The other Picturehouse cinema is located in The Lanes.
