“Lichfield Cathedral is a treasured landmark in the heart of the country that prides itself in offering a warm welcome to all our visitors. There is plenty to explore with over 1300 years of history in the only medieval three spired Cathedral in the UK. See a medieval wall painting, the famous Herkenrode stained glass, the Lichfield Gospels (700AD) and Lichfield Angel, as well as a packed and diverse programme of services, concerts and exhibitions.   What's more, the Cathedral is free to enter, although donations are welcomed and encouraged. ”

“The ancient capital of Mercia, Tamworth Castle is a lovely place to visit. It's packed with history and will take a couple of hours to see properly. It's located next to a really great playground it's a short walk from the Snowdome and bowling alley. Take some bread to feed the ducks on the river Tame. ”

“Cannock Chase, often referred to locally as "the Chase" has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It comprises, coniferous plantation, open heathland and the remains of the early coal mining industry. The Chase provides a remarkable range of landscape & wildlife, including a herd of 800 fallow deer and several rare and endangered birds. This is the perfect place to go walking, running or mountain biking with trails and a cycle centre. There are other things to do such as a children's play area, go ape facility and a café serving a range of food and drinks. ”
