If you enjoy the small shop / gallery experience, take a drive south to Tubac. There, you'll find many shopping options, with cafes and coffee shops too. The quality of gifts and art is diverse... and you'll find authentic southwestern gifts to take home.

Tubac is well worth a trip. About 90 min south of Tucson, it is a community of old adobe buildings that have been restored and serve as artist studios. Good for potteries, paintings. You can find some very nice art. If you're not a US citizen, please bring your passport as there is a US Border Patrol stop on I-19 and you'll be asked to show it.
