We really enjoyed our stay in Lancaster. We could easily walk into the town centre in a few minutes and it was close to the station for our friends travelling by train. The house was very comfortable and roomy. Tom the host was very responsive to our queries. The area was quite and although there was no designated parking, we found it easy to park on the street and were provided with permits. It was a great base for us to attend a friend's party and explore the local area. Compared to staying in a B&B or hotel it was great value and gave us our own space to relax.

Great location in the middle of Ulverston. Kitchen had everything we needed and when we needed to we pressed 'boost' on the heating controls and the house heated quickly. very cozy, homely house. Would recommend and stay again

The house was a great place from which to explore the surrounding towns and villages. Ulverston is a lovely little town to visit and a short drive away. Anthony was very helpful and accurate on his description of Askam. We settled in on the evenings and lit the cozy log burner. Anthony was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay.

Fabulous stay. We loved the house (which was accurately described). It was perfect for me and my family. We loved making breakfast and dinner in the huge kitchen. Would love to stay again when in the area.

Had a great stay here with our 3 year old son. Parking spot on the cobbled driveway right next door to the cottage. Cottage was clean and spacious for the 3 of us. My son enjoyed playing with the dominoes and cards in the living room. Upstairs there is a good size bathroom with shower (no bath), small bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditoner were provided as well as his and hers spray deodrant. Towels also provided. Bedrooms were spacious and clean. We stayed when it was windy and the sash window in the double room was banging in the night so we had to fold some paper and wedge it in the gap to stop the banging but apart from this the room was comfortable and cosy. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need including tea towels, washing up liquid, sponges etc. you just need some dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher.

Fabulous stay. House is walking distance to grasmere village and also very close to a number of walks including Easdale Tarn. We had a wonderful stay.

Lovely house in a great location near Lake Windermere. We visited with younger children and there was lots to keep them entertained. Although local play parks and the town of Windermere were not in walking distance to the house, this did not make any difference to our holiday as we would have driven with the children anyway. Brockhole park and estate being a great local spot for the family. The access to the local health spa was a great addition to the house.

The place was beautiful and very welcoming . It felt like home almost immediately. It's located in a very private setting and we loved the river at the back of the property. We had a few teething issues to begin with as we had a wasps nest outside and the occasional power outage when the switch tripped on the fuse box but the host, Cheryl, was very quick to respond and helped resolve things straight away. She even offered to give us an extra day for free but because we had work the next day the option of a late checkout instead was very welcome. I would highly recommend this place and Cheryl was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Cheryl!

We had a wonderful stay in Jeanette’s beautiful apartment. Views all around are spectacular and the area is great for walking at low and higher levels. Jeanette is very responsive and she made sure we had everything we needed.

Lovely spacious ground floor apartment in a gated Georgian Building full of character. I stayed with a female friend and we felt safe and secure at all times and the bonus of parking for two cars is a rare find in Clitheroe. The welcome goods on arrival plus milk in the fridge were a nice touch too. I am familiar with Clitheroe as I shop there but have never stayed overnight but would do again definitely as there are lots of good places to eat and drink such as Holmes Mill, The Emporium and Wills Restaurant to name but a few. Also some nice independent shops too. My friend is from Scotland and she cant wait to return. There are also several excellent restaurants a short drive from Clitheroe too. The Ribble Valley offers lots to explore and some great scenery. Well worth a visit is the Melt Candle company in Waddington which is a ten minutes drive away. Tina is a great host and happy to help with anything and keeps in touch with you. I would definitely recommend you stay here.

Robin communicated promptly and was super helpful. His cottage is ideally located - a quick walk into Ambleside, but away from the centre and very quiet. It was clean and cosy. Perfect for a great walking holiday.

An amazing home. It was extremely clean, very cozy. Siobhan was so nice! The instructions were very clear. Happy to recommend to other friends. Next time to Lake District would choose here again!

Great stay, check in was very easy, parking was okay, and the apartment was very cosy. It was quite cold when we arrived, but the heating was really easy to use and the place warmed up in no time! The location is very handy close to the village enter, lots of shops and restaurants. During our stay we visited the Lake Road Kitchen for the eight course taster menu, which was amazing and literally just up the road. If we decide to come back to Ambleside we will be sure to book this apartment again. Thank you

This is the second time I have stayed at the studio. It is a lovely little place, compact but with everything you need in a very beautiful and convenient spot. Carol and Margaret are very helpful and friendly it is always a pleasure to stay in their beautiful flat. Thank you for being so welcoming and accomodating.

Sharon's place is fab really good location with easy parking. if you want to explore Wasdale then it is perfect location. The flat is well set up, warm and with fab views of the fells. The lake beaches are 5 mins away by car or a bit longer by foot. The wildlife is super loads of birds. Wasdale head is a bit further and easy access to Scarfell, Great Gable and styhead pass over to Borrowdale. There is a small shop with essentials and some walking gear at Wasdale head, plus a pub with good local Ale. I can also recommend the Alpaca trekking at Wasdale Alpacas. We have loads still to explore in Wasdale so will hopefully return.

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Jerry was super responsive and responded within minutes whenever we needed something, which was really appreciated (even around midnight 😅). The house is beautiful, very well furnished. Hot tub was a favourite and the river is incredibly scenic.

We booked on the day we wanted to arrive. Dispite a last minute booking our hosts were friendly and sent all the information we needed quickly. It is a beautiful, relaxing and well equipped home. Sitting out on an evening was lovely and the hot tub was the cherry on top! Lovely relaxing home surrounded by trees, even saw a fox one night.
