Such a beautiful place right on the water! The dock was still in so we were able to bring our boat and dock it at the house. This is the perfect up north getaway! We may book again since the property is just down the road from the snowmobile trail! The house was very clean and spacious. It has a better layout than what is pictured.

This property is not to be missed if you want a private, peaceful getaway on a beautiful sand beach. The weather we enjoyed was perfect and the sunrises and sunsets were beyond AMAZING!! At night, the stars lit up the sky as we sat on the beach by the firepit and just relaxed while reviewing our day. There is a grocery store and some restaurants in Manistique for food, about a 12-15 minute drive. Nice central location to explore and we were able to make day trips to Pictured Rocks, Marquette, Mackinac Island, and some other local attractions. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are new, beds are comfortable with good linens, home is very clean, downstairs is cozy, upstairs is bright and light. No AC and we did have to break out the fans in the master which gets the most sunlight, but the cool nights would cool things down again. Highly recommend and would stay again!!

Debra was wonderful to accommodate our needs to be able to check in and get to our Elk viewing in a timely fashion. House was very clean. The area was beautiful with lots of fresh snow.

The place was just like the pictures showed. Very peaceful, scenic and quiet. There was lots of room in the house. The backyard was private and right on the lake. Loved Use the huge fire pit. The kitchen very well stocked. There was recommendations for restaurants and stores in the area. Place is easy to find. We also enjoyed the front large deck as well. If you have kids, there’s plenty of games and boats to use in the lake. We went in fall, so didn’t do any swimming, but still enjoyed the scenic views and the fall colors. Hali checked in with me before and during my stay. I didn’t need anything but I’m sure if I did she would’ve been quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

As a group of 8 we were worried about privacy and space. Once we arrived we were blown away at all the space, the amazing location and amenities. Kyle and Alena were beyond accommodating and helpful. We couldn’t have gotten through the weekend without them and or without the help of their friends and family. We felt like we had been coming to their place for years !! Any questions we had they answered right away and even gave us super helpful tips and advice for our stay ! We really appreciate you all, and cannot wait to return !! 16 out of 10 ;) If you are visiting rent the pontoon boat !! The area has so much to do and see and the price is a steal !

A very nice place to stay, this is my new favorite on the lake and we have stayed at quite a few places on lake gogebic.

The house was very clean and very well stocked. You have everything you need and more! The hot tub was delightful on a cold snowy weekend. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

We enjoyed our family fishing weekend at Albert's home!!! Not many fish were caught, but lots of memories made! 😀 The home had plenty of room for us all to have our own space, but the family room and dining area was big enough for us all to be together too! Albert was very responsive when we had questions! The unique location...right on the lake, was a great plus for ice fishing! Literally, the water was 5 feet from the back door! Great place to enjoy family or friends!!

We loved our stay at this house. Great location right on the lake, beautiful views and the snow made it even better. The house was as described, clean and very comfortable. We skied 2 days at Schuss and this is a convenient location for that. The dogs had plenty of room to roam the house and were comfortable as well! We would definitely stay here again!

Our third year in a row staying here and like always everything was perfect. Matthew is a great host, very responsive and always helpful. The property is perfect, always clean and clear instructions on check out. Has everything a family would need. This will always be our go to BNB when visiting Alpena. The cabin was exactly as described and so much more. Anything and everything you could ever need for a stay. Was up for snowmobiling and location was great! Donald went so far above and beyond to make us comfortable. I can't say enough good things about Donald and his wife and their cabin. We will definitely return. This is definitely a lake Superior treasure!!

We had a great time! The house is even better in person. It was perfect for our group and the location was amazing... the views were stunning and the house was so open and well laid out... were hoping to go back in the summer time!

Sarah and Walter are excellent hosts!!! We loved all the treats from local shops. They supplied us with more than enough extras and made us feel very special. We had a wonderful stay in the winter wonderland of Trout Lake. Sarah and Walter even came out to snow blow the driveway and check in on us during our extended stay. We never lost power during a once in a lifetime ice/snow storm. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!!

We LOVED this place and will return! We came during Thanksgiving week and it snowed that night and it was wonderful waking up seeing snow on the ground and on the lake. It was beautiful sipping coffee looking out the window. Our dog Luna loved it too and the snow! Patrick, the host, thought of everything you could need. We loved the book they put together telling us all the things we could do. It was like a road map to Atlanta. They responded to any of our needs quickly. We will come back again in the summer to take advantage of the boats to fish!

My wife and I had a few days off for a fall break. Dennis' place was a perfect spot. The drive there and the surrounding woods were vibrant with color. The place was comfortable, well-suited for a short or long stay, and was stocked with plenty to do. The short path to the lake is great, and the dock provides a lovely view. We spent hours just sitting on the dock chairs reading. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny days. We took the short drive into Traverse City to go to Trattoria Stella, one of our very favorite restaurants. We also took a short hike out back to connect to the Mt Minnie trail and thoroughly enjoyed that hike. Being minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, and Franfort was a perfect location. Our last evening, we went 15 minutes to Peterson Beach and watched the sun set and stayed to watch all the stars emerge in the darkness. It was amazing! We didn't, but we could have built a fire there on the beach.. We hope to return. Thanks Dennis!

The place is beautiful, peaceful, stylish and has a lot of things to do. Katie was very responsive and thought through every detail. Thank you for having us at your place, we will be back for sure.

First time experience at a lake house and it was very pleasant. Stayed with a 11 member group including kids from age 1 to 13 and everyone liked the place. Access to Pontoon was an added attraction and was very easy to learn and operate. Scott responds to texts within minutes and always accessible, place is easy to find and the location is serene.

The cabin was right on a lake with kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. The fire pit was located lakeside as well. It was beautiful and peaceful at all hours of the day. Our kids loved it! The house is clean and fully stocked. Perfect space for our family of six. Connections are spotty in the area which allowed us to more readily unplug from the world. Host was communicative and responsive to our questions and gave clear instructions for arrival and departure. Very happy with our decision to stay at this location! Highly recommend.

We had a great week of snowmobiling out of Nikki’s Lodge on the lake in the woods. Our group of 16 guys had plenty of room to hangout comfortably, plenty of kitchen and eating space, and a great time all being together rather than renting 8 hotel rooms for the week. What a cost savings for us and was way better being together all the time. We snowmobiled out of the cabin to the groomed trails a couple of days, and trailered to Republic and Champion the other days. We had some phenomenal riding. We brought ice fishing gear for the private lake but not enough time on this trip, maybe next time we’ll fish either in summer or winter. The deer walking up to the back deck and eating out of our hands was an awesome experience as well. I would highly recommend Nikki’s place for a big group of family or friends. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful huge cabin on the lake! Comfortable bed and linens. Aaaand pet friendly. My little family and I really enjoyed our time in Iron River and did a lot of exploring. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. They helped save our weekend.

Our family (5 adults, 2 kids & 1 dog) had a fantastic time at LaBri. Amazed by this beautiful home with spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed the large refrigerator. Absolutely loved the large screened in porch facing the lake. The kids and dog took full advantage of the large backyard and swimming area by the dock. The location was quiet, perfect for relaxing but also plenty to do. We rented their pontoon boat, spent time on the lake fishing and observing the wildlife. LaBri had paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available for use which we took full advantage of. I appreciated setup of the fire pit, framed by logs that gave an extra safety feature with kids and a dog running around. What impressed me the most was communication with our host Rick. He responded quickly and was very informative and made himself available for all questions. I felt like we were renting from friends. Thanks Rick & family for sharing their beautiful home.
