Boat House on the Beach

The Boat House is located right on the beach (perfectly safe for kids) on the island of Valentia off the Southwest coast of Ireland. The big window in the sitting room overlooks the beach, Lighthouse, Beginish Island and beyond. It is the most wonderful place to be in good weather and the most fascinating in bad weather when you can watch big waves crashing onto the beach, the rugged shore and the rocks by the lighthouse - all while being cuddled up on the couch with a hot cup of tea!

Enjoy Ireland's most westerly inhabited island, the unspoilt location of Valentia Island. Cosy, ideally situated in Knightstown village yet secluded in it's own private garden. Chickens, resident cat and organic gardens are all here. Guests may enjoy the facilities of the cottage with it's well equipped kitchen or share a sunny breakfast on the patio or and evening bar b que. This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Set cozily into the mountain on a working sheep farm. Panoramic views of Cahersiveen town and taking in Ballycarberry castle, Caherghall Fort and Valentia island and the vast Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of the sofa or outdoor seating area. Very spacious and comfortable with a double bed and en-suite and a pull out sofa bed in the living area. Outdoor dining area with bench and barbecue for the warm summer evenings
