Wat een heerlijke plek! De cabin was knus en stijlvol ingericht, met oog voor detail en een gezellige sfeer waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Het uitzicht was simpelweg adembenemend. De ligging is ideaal voor wie de natuur wil intrekken: van watervallen tot zwarte stranden en andere IJslandse toppers, alles ligt op rijafstand. Maar dé absolute highlight voor ons was de gletsjerwandeling – wat een unieke ervaring! Iets wat we niet snel zullen vergeten. Een plek die we met veel mooie herinneringen achterlaten – en waar we met plezier nog eens naar terugkeren!

We loved our stay at Birgir & Sif’s cabin! It’s even cuter than the pictures (inside & out) and in the perfect location in Vik. Very cozy and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two while exploring the south coast!

Elsa greeted us from the start and gave us a full tour of the facilities (the place we were staying + guest kitchen + hot tub + washing area). The place is absolutely lovely and Elsa was so friendly. Highlights were meeting her cat, playing Elsa's old CDs on the kitchen sound system, enjoying the hot tub under the stars, and having Elsa's homemade bread for breakfast. Thank you so much for the stay Elsa!

La casa è veramente bella, l’interno è tutto nuovo, cucina ben attrezzata e pulita, letti comodi e bagni perfetti. Il plus è la location: una casa isolata dal mondo, circondata da una valle mozzafiato con vista sul ghiacciaio. Abbiamo avuto alcuni problemi con la temperatura dell’acqua nella vasca ma l’host è stato molto reattivo e ha risolto tempestivamente e con premura ogni problema. Siamo stati così fortunati da vedere l’aurora boreale nonostante non fosse periodo! Incredibile! Un soggiorno che consiglierò a chiunque! Grazie

Un posto fantastico, silenzioso, immerso nella natura di questa fantastica terra, vicino c’è anche un canyon che non siamo riusciti a visitare, la casa all’interno STUPENDA, piena di finestre che creano scorci mozzafiato. Raccomanderei questa casa a chiunque.

We travel a lot and have used numerous airbnb's or vrbo's. Agusta's "cabin" is easily in our top 3 ever. It was amazing! Lots of space. Well appointed. Fantastic kitchen and living area. Thought of everything. Loved, loved, loved it. Only slight negative is the long gravel road (+/- 10 mins) to get to the place, but if you want seclusion and darkness for the northern lights, that is an easy price to pay. The town of Vik is 30 to 40 minutes away. That is where you'll find the restaurants and grocery store, so plan ahead. Special bonus was introducing my children to a vinyl record player with a good selection of albums.

Beautiful apartment in a peaceful location. Mountain views from back of apartment. The development is in the middle of field surrounded by wonderful nature. Makes living in a bustling city a joke! Priceless! Very highly recommended.

We had a magical stay at Sjornohall! The unique setting amongst the moss covered pseudo-craters feels like it’s from a movie and the views of the Northern Lights were breathtaking. The locations makes a great base for visiting Vik, as well as visiting the National Park with ice cave tours. Audur is thoughtful, kind, and very responsive. She even let my kids meet her chickens, horses, and dogs which was a highlight of our stay for them. The house had every amenity we could have needed, as well as many unique extra touches. We hope to return again some day!
